Installing 64bit Windows 7 via Snow Leopard on MacBook

What a mouth full! Basically I have an older macbook, also known as a white polycarb mac.  For some reason, Apple doesn't support installing 64bit windows systems via bootcamp on this machine.  Well, I've been running 64bit windows 7 beta for several months and thought I should upgrade.  Here's what I did:

  1. Using windows explorer find "cmd.exe" and launch it with "Run As Administrator" privileges.
  2. Then dive down into your cd drive d:\Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple\ and execute BootCamp64.msi
  3. That's it.
